Like the idea and the comfort of the mask but doesn’t stay on my face when I open my mouth. I’m wondering if it’s too large?? I was measured by the sales representative.
this mask, it clearly says “does not protect against viruses”. What is the point of this mask at all if it offers no disease protection during exercise?!
I have been trying to jog on my area’s overcrowded trails, where it’s impossible to social-distance, using layers of paper and cloth masks, which would saturate with sweat and become difficult to breathe through. I was hoping this well-fitting mask would be the solution. After reading its specs, I’m extremely disappointed. What IS the use for this mask, then, other than Under Armor reaping profits from the pandemic with a mask that’s pointless?
I now have 3 of those masks. They are they only ones I use it the gym or any daily activity including grocery shopping.
Also great customer service.
Wearing it while doing heavy squats and deadlifts is like doing altitude training. It does not let you breathe properly. Completed less reps during normal exercises because of wearing it and was gulping for air. Terrible.
This mask is comfortable and very breathable, especially considering it’s thickness. The pliable metal for the nose bridge works well and keeps the fit snug. If you are doing lighter or non aerobic exercise, this is great and looks good. It’s easy to clean and reusable.
Problems are with strenuous or aerobic exercise. Once you heat up, the mask will get heavier with both water vapor from your breath, plus sweat. I can’t go more than a 5k at my usual pace before it effectively waterboards me. This also causes the mask to sink down your face, as all that saturated material starts to become heavier. I’ve had it for a year and wear it when just going out, and if I’m doing a short run it’s fine. But for strenuous exercise, you might as well leave this at home. Good attempt though, and I don’t think anyone’s come up with a good solution or else professional athletes would wear one while competing.
Doesn't fit well. Unfortunately, it's not returnable, so I guess I'm stuck with it.
I didn´t think that I was going to be so dissapointed with this item. I´m a very big fan of the brand, so I was very eager for this mask. But when I finally got it, I wasn´t able to run because it continued to fall from my face. I follow all the size guide instructions, but now I´m with a useless product
After wearing many different masks that were uncomfortable, especially around the ears, I decided to try the Under Armour mask. Glad I did! The easy to follow size guide helped me determine the right mask size to choose. No more tugging at the ears and comfortable to wear. The included storage bag is also nice for keeping the mask clean when carrying in a pocket or stowed in my car. My only complaint is the mask tends to slip down below my nose when talking to someone or singing at church.
As the title of my review suggests, I sweat a lot. An issue I have with most masks is that after 30 minutes or so, I can barely breathe through them due to the collection of sweat and moisture. I was excited to try this mask based on the hype of it being a mask for athletes. I wore it once, and after 15-20 minutes had the same issue. sweat and moisture collected on the inside of the mask making it difficult to breathe. I will say that the material is soft, though there is no way to adjust the fit, so I was constantly having to re-position it. For the premium price I was expecting a solution to my problem, but instead I got something that didn't perform any better than much cheaper masks.
As far as working out in a mask at the gym, this mask is great. Allows for easier breathing than other clothe masks that adhere to your face when you inhale. It is lightweight and dries quickly after hand-washing. I would recommend!!
